Shirin Ebadi (born 1947) - is an Iranian lawyer, judge, activist as well as the founder of the Defenders of Human Rights Center of Iran. She was the first ever Iranian—-woman or man—-to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2003 for her work with children, women and refugee’s rights. She’s worked tirelessly for democratic and human rights.
